Grammy-nominated docu-musical-narrative 1 Giant Leap celebrated the interconnectivity of humankind, lauding art and questioning consumerism through visually crafted scenes paired with music. In the follow-up, project leaders Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman turn within, examining the darker side of humanity in What About Me? Eckhart Tolle, Tom Robbins, and Noam Chomsky are joined by equally enlightened colleagues to expose the pitfalls of self-pity. The film's progressive auteurs and creative team are once again supported musically by the likes of Michael Stipe, k.d. lang, and Maxi Jazz — while this special outdoor screening (presented under the full moon as part of this year's Topanga Film Festival) is augmented by live music and spoken word performances by Rich Ferguson and other special guests.
