The Billy Shire Fine Arts gallery brings together the work of three different minds to its Culver City space. While the Illinois-raised Cathie Bleck has long concerned herself with the detail inherent in her work on scratchboard — a process dating back to rock and bone illustrations — Don Fritz takes a more general approach to his depictions of clownish figures and dangerous child's play (think Dick and Jane with sharp objects). Meanwhile, the English artist Jenn Porreca blends fine art with street and folk styles for a fluid, yet complex collection of prints, sketches and paintings.
