“Music-marketing guru and impresario Leeor Brown only founded the Friends of Friends record label in March of 2009, and it's already provided a window into the future of the record label industry, releasing digital-only content coupled with 100% organic t-shirts custom-designed by well-known artists, including husband-and-wife art-powerhouse Kozyndan. Tonight, Flavorpill teams up (again) with Filter to present a night of "hip-hop, future-bass, and electro" featuring San Francisco's Lazer Sword and Ghosts on Tape, and LA's own Rainbow Arabia and Hecuba. Resident FoF DJs Lazy Brow and d. Fish flesh out the evening's sounds with their cosmically hypnotic and danceable grooves.”

Of all the acts currently pushing that future-bass-lazer-blap (whatever you prefer to call it) sound into the far reaches of today's dancefloors, none is nearer and dearer to the heart of XLR8R than the Lazer Sword boys.
In true form, the boys didn't hold back, delivering a 36-track set that features hip-hop, future-bass, electro, and more. Many of the tracks are remixes Rutledge and Roy have made themselves, and, in true Lazer Sword fashion, names like Dr. Dre and Keak Da Sneak crop up on the tracklisting.
