YaYa Chou constructs a room-size sculptural installation in which a collaborative dance and movement piece is to be performed and documented; Adele Mills presents a portrait series that examines how people come to identify themselves in relation to the major events of their lives; Emily De Araújo engineers optical origami in her largely abstract mixed-media plays on negative space; and Shizuko Greenblatt explodes traditional formulas of proper Japanese decoration (specifically, flower-arranging) into provocative, emotionally rich objects.
