The third installment of the Partikel series takes place at the Goethe Institut, pairing live electronic music with visuals in a theatrical setting. Fresh off a whirlwind summer tour, musician and professor Steve Nalepa debuts his six-piece Nalepa Dub Orchestra. Pairing analog synths and electric drums with oboe and cello, Nalepa and his former students perform live electro-orchestral versions of his compositions. When Subversive Element, John Von Seggern, and Steve Tavaglione face off, they bring their accomplished jazz and sound design backgrounds together to create a new kind of experimental electronic jazz trio. Rounding out the bill is the lush reverberated ambiance of Lake of Sleep and the cinematic ambiance of Sequenox.
