LA Opera continues its Ring adventure with the testosterone-charged centerpiece, Siegfried. Things have grown creepier since the last installment, DieWalkure. German opera's incestuous twins, Siegmund and Sieglinde, have by this time given birth to Siegfried — a dim-witted, boorish, but handsome wunderkind, thriving amidst dwarves and dragons in the dark forest. Intrigued? Director Achim Freyer's hallucinogenic imagination will inspire — but bring a cushion; the production plays over five hours.
