Nikkole is an independent musician that has established herself as a true artist within the music world. Among the current crop of rising stars, Nikkole is definitely the one who has a complete package: voice, looks and a strong work ethic, that will catapult her to becoming the next legend! Nikkole’s debut CD ''Appearances'', introduced the world to her amazing vocal sound and unique songwriting ability. Nikkole further proved her success when she became the #1 independent singer in the US with her first album, via mp3.com, which was one of the premier major music websites at the time. The song, ''Beautiful Colors'' from that album, was selected for a television and radio ad campaign for Mattress Firm, the largest mattress retailer in the United States.
The success of ''Appearances'' enabled Nikkole to branch out and work with some of the world's top performers such as Babyface, The Emotions, Lakeside, The Commodores, Midnight Star, Norman Brown, Everette Harp and Patrice Rushen. Nikkole has written and crafted new tunes for The Emotions and The Commodores and she has appeared on the soundtracks to the films ''The Brothers'', ''Biker Boyz'' and ''Love and Action in Chicago.'' Nikkole also appears on Norman Brown's #1 Billboard smash ''Stay With Me'', more specifically the radio-friendly cut ''You Keep Lifting Me Higher,'' which she not only sang, but she wrote and arranged the vocals. In fact, Nikkole spent 8 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Charts with Norman Brown's, ''Stay With Me'' project. The album remained in Billboard's Top 10 for over 4 months!
Nikkole’s second full-length LP entitled ''A Girl Like Me'', exposed the world to her five octave range, and reminded them of the lyrical ingénue’s exceptional skills. The first single ''It's Too Late'' features The Emotions. The explosive album, ''A Girl Like Me'' generated three singles, “It’s Too Late” feat. The Emotions, “Gon’ Bounce” and “Breathe”.
Nikkole’s current album, 'Creolepatra'' boast another collection of gems including the lead off single, ''E-X-OTIC''. The 2nd single “Love Was Made In Heaven” is currently the #1 R&B digital download in Los Angeles and features sax great, Everette Harp.
Nikkole has written and co-produced every single song on all three of her albums. Nikkole is also a voting member of the prestigious National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ''The Grammys'', which is quite an honor especially for an independent recording artist. While we are on the subject of the Grammys, Nikkole was chosen by the Grammys as a contender for nomination 11 times.
The success of Nikkole's recording career has also led to endorsements and or sponsorships with Smashbox Cosmetics, Nine West, True Religion, Joe's Jeans and Seychelles Footwear. Most recently, Nikkole has teamed up with Minx Nails, which is one of the hottest trends for today’s fashionistas! She joins her industry contemporaries Beyonce, Pink. Lady GaGa, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Toni Braxton, Keyshia Cole, Rihanna and Katy Perry as an endorsee of this amazing nail accessory.
Nikkole has been featured in numerous magazines and publications including Billboard, Ebony, Cosmo and BRE. She has recently been chosen by MTV Networks to license 48 of her songs from her catalog for various Television shows, video games, movies and announcements with the highly acclaimed music network.
