LA-based nonprofit Automata is teaming up with Ibex Puppetry at the Velaslavasay Panorama for a program starring puppeteer, singer, and "high-art drag personality" Marsian, who, along with writing partner PJ McWhiskers and composer Josh Senick, brings us Bride of Wildenstein: The Musical. Inspired by real-life "cat woman" and socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein, the performance follows a desperate woman's measures to save her marriage, including her attempt to become more cat-like through surgery. Demented, touching, and inherently strange, Bride of Wildenstein: The Musical shows just how far some people will go for love.
