Since Polaroid announced the discontinuation of its iconic instant-film camera, folks missing the anticipatory hand-shaken magic that accompanies the appearance of its quasi-archival emulsifications have been in sentimental mourning. Tonight's one-day exhibition and forthcoming limited edition publication take a rare combination of nostalgia and connoisseurship to its logical, and impressive, extreme, with an installation of 2,000 selected Polaroids that demonstrate the range of talents and occasions enshrined in the unmistakable framing and characteristically off-kilter compositional effects that can only mean Polaroid.
