Now, TCP lives on as an unforgettable gospel and R&B-infused musical revelation starring Fantasia in the heroine's role. No American Idol jokes, please, as Fantasia earns high marks from audiences, critics, and the show's composer Allee Willis: "I think Fantasia is miraculous. She transcends the character; her singing is a dream for a composer to experience of their own work."
