Having recently celebrated her 83rd birthday with an all-out party, art show, and silent auction, LA-based performance artist Rachel Rosenthal shows no signs of slowing down. Routledge just published The DbD Experience: Chance Knows What It’s Doing, where Rosenthal breaks down her improv formula, "doing by doing," in a book that's equal parts memoir, manual, and manifesto. Now, Rosenthal's own improvisational theater group, TOHUBOHU!, debuts at the artist's cozy performance venue, Espace DbD. Redefining interdisciplinary art, the monthly performance series reflects Rosenthal's revolutionary spirit, not to mention her theatrical savvy.
