LA's own sonic expressionists Lucky Dragons, the art-experimental duo whose finest work blends audience participation with blossoming fractals of melody and distortion, bring the noise to MOCA's Engagement Party at the Geffen Contemporary. The Dragons plan to draw inspiration for their real-time composition from the Mi casa es tu casa installation (part of the LAND "Via" series) by Mexico-based artist Moris — whose vinyl appliques, digital prints and reproduction of his visa-denial letter festoon the Geffen entrance — and the First Thirty Years exhibition spanning MOCA's offerings from 1980 to present. You have to be a MOCA member to attend, but you renewed your card the moment you heard about Deitch, right?
