In the wake of his wife's suicide, a grieving widower (Alfredo Casero) travels to Tierra Del Fuego to scatter her ashes and kill himself in the place where he and his wife first met. While standing in the snow, fate intervenes, and he meets a flight attendant (Ingrid Rubio) who is also attempting to freeze herself to death. A black comedy in the tradition of Woody Allen, the film is ultimately a hopeful look at the healing power of love. Winner of the Best Picture award at the 2002 Santa Fe Film Festival. (2002, 89 min. No MPAA rating. In Spanish with English subtitles.) Part of the series THE FILMS OF DANIEL BURMAN at the Skirball.
