“LA's RAW: natural born artists celebrates its first anniversary as an independent arts showcase that's as eclectic as life really is. With four monthly editions around the LA/Long Beach crescent, RAW Artists' bustling evening multimedia lounges are anything but predictable. An open-door policy reigns, as visual and performing artists, musicians, fashion designers, filmmakers, and stylists are invited to participate in the public salon parties collaboratively — just like their specialties overlap in real life. Celebrating the recent launch of its collaborative social network and portfolio-hosting functions, and its organizers' big plans for the year ahead, the Angeleno Hotel hosts tonight's birthday party for this one year-old that's anything but a baby.”
