Jerico's monthly cocktail-and-art adventure comes a tad early, in honor of everyone's favorite drinking game: St. Patrick's Day. Although changing theme with each edition (April's is beat poets) the idea remains the same: artists and locals take over a neighborhood bar; enjoy VJ and DJ sets, plus a full bill of live music; make art in situ; and trade tales of Depression-inspired woe while mugging for the video camera. Ode to the Blues promises solo singer/songwriter sets that build up to the full Lightnin' Woodcock Band experience. Artist Shaun Thyne's ongoing documentary pursuits produce a gritty, painterly, and prolific photo porfolio of decades of Downtowners, and his exhibition, Study of Drunks with Cigarettes, is dedicated to the memory of local hero Joel Bloom.
