The Something to Talk About film series takes independent documentaries out of the festival circuit and into the public sphere, screening monthly at the aptly-named Majestic Crest Theater in Westwood. Tonight, health nuts and film lovers alike are invited to Food Fight, Chris Taylor's factual portrait of American agricultural policy and modern food culture, featuring celebu-chefs Wolfgang Puck, Alice Waters, and many others. The film chronicles California's organic food legacy, rooted in a West Coast resistance to corporate agriculture. Los Angeles Times food writer Russ Parsons moderates a panel followiong the screening, featuring organic farmer Thetis Sammons and Evan Kleiman, executive chef at Angeli Caffe and host of KCRW's Good Food.
