Manifest Equality
1341 Vine St
“Brought to you by the team responsible for the Manifest Hope art shows during the '08 campaign, and the follow-up book Art for Obama, Manifest Equality presents an art contest, exhibition, event slate, and public-awareness campaign. Part of a multimedia call-to-action in the name of universal equal rights, the event features works by artists such as Elizabeth McGrath, Gary Baseman, Luke Chueh, and Ron English, just to name a few. The insta-gallery rallies for equal rights to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered Americans, with an opening party Wednesday night, a "Make Something School" led by Beautiful Losers mastermind Aaron Rose, and a closing party on Saturday night, just in time to add a little blue state pizzazz to the red carpet hustle. Certain events may require an RSVP or a ticket purchase; check the event site for details.”
