“For over 30 years, music-industry photography vet Jay Blakesberg has made a career of shooting tripped-out rock icons such as Jerry Garcia and Les Claypool for publications like Rolling Stone. He touches down at Mr. Musichead Gallery to premiere his latest book, Traveling on a High Frequency: Photography 1978-2008, a title meant to reference his subjects' connection to "the secret of the universe." Inside, songwriting dignitaries such as Joni Mitchell share space with larval versions of Jane’s Addiction, the Pixies, and others.”
