Although a tribute to Hall & Oates could come off as tongue-in-cheek, The Bird And The Bee insist that their latest, Interpreting the Masters, is a tribute to the ‘80s powerhouse's stellar songwriting. Indeed, the album uncovers some corkers: "Heard It On The Radio," "Maneater," and "I Can’t Go For That," to name a few faves. Hear The Bird's quirky interpretations tonight, but come early for keytar-playing L.A. songbird Juliette Commagere, performing numbers from her awesome debut, Queens Die Proudly.

El Rey says…

Los Angeles indie/synthpop band consisting of Inara George ("the bird") and Greg Kurstin ("the bee") prove to be such a remedy to a tired morning. Listening to their tracks make me feel tranquil and warm just like the sky or some honey would make me. p.s. they are super cute

This show will serve to be your education into the world of the birds and the bees.
