The Echoplex hosts Chickens in Love, today’s mini-music festival benefitting nonprofit 826LA, which provides free tutoring to kids ages 6 to 18 to support their writing skills. Participating bands in the all-ages show include The Submarines, Pity Party, Summer Darling, and The Growlers. Proceeds from the event, along with a forthcoming album written by 826LA students and recorded by local musicians, including She & Him and Fiona Apple, enable 826LA to continue to assist young students with one-on-one attention.
