Otis College continues to churn out the serious artists and designers, with an eclectic alumni list whose influences have been felt for 50 years. The new exhibition takes a smaller core sample of "only" 20 years (1989-2009) and fewer graduates; it does not pretend to be comprehensive, but it does manage to reflect something of the range of practices honed at the institution over the years, from photography to installation, sculpture, multimedia, and all kinds of in-between. On Wednesday, April 28 (6:30pm), join artist and Graduate Fine Arts program chair Roy Dowell on an exhibition walk-through, and stick around for an evening of cocktails and readings celebrating the 10th anniversary of the school's equally impressive graduate writing program.
