“The Hive Gallery is the artistic home to over 25 resident studio visionaries based in Southern California. In honor of its 5-year anniversary, Downtown's creative nerve center features work by more than 70 artists, some of which can be seen in the gallery's forthcoming publication, A Field Guide to the Denizens of Hiveland. The book is based on owner and curator Nathan Cartwright's vision to construct a fabled fantasyland that is sustained by the Hive's active members. The anniversary show features art by Erik Siador, Chase Osborne, Jeff Christenson, Lauren Gardiner, and Thomas Lynch III. April 3, Marlena Dali hosts a series of opening-night performances, which is followed by video projection, live painting, and Hive tarot deck readings by Seraphime Rhyianir. Tickets for opening night are $8, or $5 for those dressed in black and yellow.”
