In a postmodern society with all its ironic trappings, the wholesome and irony-free Bob Baker Marionette Theater still reigns supreme with children's entertainment. Celebrating their 50th anniversary, Bob (now 86!) and his eclectic parade of puppet pals delight children, adults, and hipsters alike with It’s a Musical World. Regaling audiences with lip-synched songs and colorful dance numbers, there's a little something for everyone: platform-sporting disco sistas boogie down to "Turn the Beat Around;" "Teddy Bears' Picnic" serves ebullient giggles; the grand Madame donning Bob Mackie enchants with "Pure Imagination;" and of course: clowns, clowns, clowns.  Each show offers nostalgia and free ice cream.
