This exhibition includes a recent production consisting of videos and installations which build a network of possible relationships between time and water. The video "Time Cultivation" was made before the earthquake and tsunami in Chile (March 2010); it could be considered an apocalyptic prediction. "Take care of your garden" involves the presence of a secret system of vital connections. The clock is ticking; it is cyclical, repetitive and organic. In the ballroom, built by frozen water columns, brings us again to the connection between time and water. Finally, the video of urban performance “What should I do with so much memory?” connects time with displacement, migration, search, non-identification. The sea marks the physical border between others and me, limiting all the past inside two suitcases. The work of the artist ends with the look of the public and here is where she questions the linear perception of time. Dagmara Wyskiel, from Poland, has a master’s degree from the University of Fine Arts in Krakow. For the last nine years, she has developed her work from the Atacama Desert. She has exhibited at La Triennial of Chile in 2009, Biennale of Siberia VIII in 2009, and Olympic Fine Arts in 2008, among others. She works in installations, photography, video and interventions in public spaces.
