Phantom Galleries LA: Long Beach says…

Phantom Galleries says:

Phantom Galleries is pleased to present a one-person exhibition of drawings by Long Beach based-artist Jennifer Celio curated by Habib Kheradyar--an exhibition of drawings about Long Beach in Long Beach. Since the exhibition is located in a vacant store on The Promenade, at Broadway, Celio is taking the opportunity to exhibit primarily works with Long Beach imagery. The exhibition will consist of drawings and a new painting. With a nod to a line in the song "Lights" by the band Journey, her title for the exhibit I wanna be here in my city refers to the emotion evoked by singer Steve Perry's fondness for his hometown, and for Celio reflects her connection to Long Beach in all its charms and shortfalls.

Jennifer Celio’s work has been exhibited at such venues as Long Beach Museum of Art; Laguna Art Museum; Sam Lee Gallery, Los Angeles; Louis Stern Fine Arts, Los Angeles and Cristinerose Gallery, New York . Her work has been included in curatorial projects by Meg Linton, Tyler Stallings and Scott Canty amongst others. www.JenniferCelio.com
