Lazarides is something of an organized art ring that stretches from London to New York, and lately LA, known for bringing the best graffiti, muralizing, and street-friendly artists in the world to the attention —and in some cases, the exterior walls — of new audiences. French photo-muralist JR, Portuguese architectural interventionist and muralist Vhils, and UK painters Conor Harrington and Antony Micallef each bring something big and bold to the party, and as has been known to happen, their enthusiasm for the walls of a brand-new city has gotten the better of them already. Two of the four in EuroTrash (JR and Vhils) have just finished a collaborative wall in downtown Los Angeles; you can check out the walls on Spring between 6th and 7th. Not to be outdone, Conor Harrington has taken on Venice Beach. This is going to get interesting.

Lazarides Gallery Beverly Hills says…

Lazarides Inc. says:

Lazarides LA introduces, EuroTrash, the four hottest European artists in the world today: JR, Vhils, Conor Harrington and Antony Micallef.

Immortalizing the individual in monumental proportions is what these exciting artists do best. Using the overlooked, misunderstood and mundane elements of our everyday, each artist captures our attention with their distinctive style and alternative approach. Sharing a vested interest in their individual and collective surroundings and society, they poetically express a desire for universal appreciation.
