Mezze, a Mediterranean-influenced restaurant and bar in West Hollywood, is a great place to begin an evening or indulge in a nightcap. They feature not just a nightly happy hour, but a second happy hour from 11:00pm to 1:00 am on Friday and Saturday nights during which specialty cocktails are a mere $6, while a selection of boutique beers are $3 a glass. Their specialty cocktails include Grapefruit Sergio (St. Germain, vodka, lemon, and grapefruit), the Mongo (Don Julio Anejo Tequila, Peychaud and Angostura bitters, and lemon), and the Sumac 75 (sparkling wine, Cocchi Americano, sumac syrup, and orange peel). The well-edited beer selection includes craft beers from Belgium, Ireland, and Hawaii, along with a group of choice California brews. Their menu, influenced by the food of Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Israel, features scrumptious bar bites like smoked sturgeon flatbread with lebne and capers, a chicken shawarma sandwich, potato knishes, and chopped chicken liver with grape mostarda and mini challah.

Mezze says…

Acclaimed designer Waldo Fernandez is leading the design and renovation of the coveted West Hollywood space. Finished with wood from Lebanon and handcrafted tiles from Morocco, the venue embodies the soul and spirit of the Eastern Mediterranean while still appealing to a stylish and sophisticated Los Angeles clientele. The venue is both intimate and refined, utilizing amber Venetian plaster walls, skylights drawing in more natural light, an open kitchen exposing a wood-burning oven, and floor to ceiling nano walls opening out to patio seating. MEZZE's concept was developed as a contemporary play on the traditional mezze style of dining consisting of small plates. MEZZE, Arabic for "sharing," will continue this traditional style dining but will offer patrons an innovative take on Eastern Mediterranean flavors by using local produce and ingredients and employing both new and traditional techniques.
