The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef, a project by the Institute For Figuring (IFF) in Los Angeles, will be on exhibit at the Williamson Gallery. A representation of coral reefs in crochet form, it is an example of innovation at the intersection of art and science. The exhibition, to which crochet groups from around the world have contributed, is an ongoing project of the IFF, which pioneers creative new methods for engaging the public about scientific and environmental issues by putting people and communities at the core. For more information about the Hyperbolic project, please see crochetcoralreef.org. For more information about the exhibition, please see artcenter.edu/williamson.
