The question of performance art revisited, re-staged, reinvented, and redefined sets the platform for Los Angeles Goes Live, an exhibition and series inviting artists and audiences alike to interrogate these central issues at the core of performance art practice and scholarship. LACE has commissioned a 9 LA artists (including Cheri Gaulke, Suzanne Lacy, Liz Glynn, Dorian Wood, Heather Cassils, and Ellina Kevorkian, amongst others) to re-stage and re-invent historic performances in Los Angeles from the 1970s, to occur throughout the run of the exhibition. Los Angeles Goes Live is part of Pacific Standard Time Getty Initiative.
