“Fountain built its brand as a brashly independent, vibrant, and, while we're at it, very "Brooklyn" alternative art fair. Homegrown in Williamsburg five years ago, Fountain has since expanded to Miami and Chicago; now the other shining sea is finally getting a taste. To inject the proceedings with local flavor, while retaining some tradition, the 14 exhibitors presenting their work are drawn almost evenly between the two coasts. Adding to the unruly array of multimedia installations, there are special musical performances on Friday and Saturday nights to raise a raucous and joyful hell in an otherwise barren lot in Downtown LA.”

Arriving in a true renegade fashion, New York and California based street artists are promised to deliver an amazing installation alongside special artist projects curated by Ever Gold in our 3,500 square foot courtyard. Special evening events, including live musical performances, a Newestra photobooth, as well as raffles and giveaways courtesy of Fountain mainstay Lomography will keep the party rocking long after the others have stopped. Fountain Art Fair was founded in 2006 as an attempt to leverage support for smaller independent galleries to gain access to larger collectors and critics. Flavorpill Friday with reception 7pm – 1am plus LA Weekly Presents: Saturday Night Event 7pm – 1am.
