Two kinds of music often collide on the dance floor: fist-pumping anthems, and music that's designed to take you on a journey. Lo-Fi Sugar frontwoman Heather Pollock makes electronic music with its head — and feet — rooted firmly in the future. In the vein of European acts like Robyn and Röyksopp, the Northern California native writes and performs her own music (under the production of stellar beat-master Jean Marc Brissat), and recently toured with world-renowned DJ Paul Van Dyk of New Order and David Byrne, who contacted the artist after he heard her first demo. Catch a rare live performance of Lo-Fi Sugar, along with Tuscon band ...music video? and Laco$te.

Silverlake Lounge says…

Lo-Fi Sugar: Best known as a vocalist in the European Dance music scene, Heather's high-spirited lyrics and amazing vocal quality have graced albums by Top International Producers such as Paul Van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, Sean Tyas, StarChasers, Armin Van Buren, Kuffdam, DJ Ceeryl, and many more. ...music video? grew out of the collaborative and vibrant music scene in Tucson, AZ, where the desert heat melts styles and genres together in creative ways. Voted Tucson's best electronic band for five years running, ...music video? strives to blur the line that separates noise from pop. Laco$te: On first listen, it's immediately evident the unconstrained approach Laco$te take in their musical explorations. Their origins as a French rap party duo are almost unrecognizable in their current noise/synth/pop transformation.
