Join us for a final look at the exhibition Proof: The Rise of Printmaking in Southern California. The evening begins with Associate Curator Leah Lehmbeck's introduction to the development of the exhibition. Gallery educators then lead 25-minute discussions revolving around printmaking techniques and the vital role that they played in the early Los Angeles art scene. Offered concurrently with the gallery talks are art-making activities in which both children and adult visitors are able to create original works of art. 6:30 – Gallery Talk with Associate Curator Leah Lehmbeck: Behind the scenes of Proof . 7:00 – Print Primer: Printmaking Techniques. 7:30 – Tamarind Workshop: Reviving the medium of fine-art lithography. 8:00 – Artist as Printmakers. 6:30-7:30 – Family Art-Making Workshop. 7:30-8:30 – Adult Art-Making Workshop. Admission to the Museum after 6:00 p.m. and all programs are free. Gallery talks are limited to 25 participants. Please sign up at information desk no later than 15 minutes prior to each session.
