In 2005, the Village Voice labeled the Bravery "New York's Next Big Thing." By the time they released The Sun and the Moon in early 2007, the band had been panned by the Killers as new wave/post punk posers (perhaps a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, eh?) and labled by Pitchfork as "Brooklyn parasites." Either way, if you just want to catch one of the go-to weepy, moody, scene-setting soundtrack bands for shows like The Hills, Rescue Me, and Grey's Anatomy, you should catch the Bravery's set at the Culture Room tonight.
