Music: Global Musafir: Gypsies of Rajasthan

We use the word "gypsy" to describe any wayward spirit these days, often forgeting the culture and community of actual gypsies in the process. The Musafir represent the original wandering gypsies, and this concert features their form of acrobatic dance set to Hindustani flutes and drums. At once rousing and melancholy, it's the perfect soundtrack to an endless journey.
