Twice a year, the Locust Projects gallery gathers patrons to raise funds to cover operation costs. Eschewing the PBS-style call-a-thon, the gallery raffles off 100 pieces of art donated by top-notch artists. The first ticket number called gets the pick of the litter, and so on down the line. A second raffle is also held for a limited-edition print of Matthew Brannon's Switching Positions. Tickets aren't cheap, but a $395 Carlos Betancourt is a steal.
