Death, loss, and a general disquietude permeate The End, a multimedia show curated by local artist Jacin Giordano. Daniel Newman's ominous, eight-foot-tall black painting anchors the exhibition, while other highlights include John Howlett's three acrylics portraying full-frontal nudes surrounded by pentagrams and fire; Joshua Sigman's Philip K. Dick-inspired digital renderings; Ethan Ayer's abstract oils on linen; and Frank Wick's massive unicorn, drawn on one of the gallery walls with cyanide-laced Flavor Aid — the same mix that took hundreds of lives at Jonestown.
