Music Blue October w/ Yellowcard and Shiny Toy Guns

When Houston-based Blue October's History for Sale came out on Brando in '03 and climbed into the college charts, Universal, who had previously dropped the band, re-signed them in a hurry. Since then, they've hit a few soundtracks (American Wedding, Saw III), and had one bonafide hit ("Hate Me"). Whether or not you believe the band has earned its place in the pantheon is really a matter of taste, but there's no denying that it hits with an anthem as big as regret.
