Don Rickles is no joke. In fact, the cat won't even tell one. His nearly 60 years in showbiz have been a total riot, however — the only surprise being that his unabashed insults haven't caused literal riots. Gender, race, preference, position: all are game to this wisecracker, and he lays 'em all low with an unfairness that befits his station. Director John Landis, who first met Rickles when he was a gofer on the set of Kelly's Heroes (1970), delivers this hilarious love letter to one of comedy's most hateful comics.
