If you can cut out of work early enough, MAM's monthly happy hour is a lively alternative to your local boozer. Drawing an enjoyable mix of downtowners, Brickell bankers, and art scenesters, JAM is a good chance to check out the museum's latest exhibits — like Enrique Martínez Celaya's haunting Nomad and Herzog & de Meuron's Work in Progress — on the cheap. The music, ranging from classic hip-hop to slow disco to Southern rock, is as varied as the crowd. And where else in Miami can you drink at a "donation bar"?
