Celebrating one year in Miami, Flavorpill jumps aboard Aquabooty's infamous F*ck Art Let's Dance party. And Flavorpill's enlisted two venerable house-music vets to show us how longevity's done. Skating up from the Paradise Garage during its disco heyday, Danny Krivit bangs the funk in legendary New York fashion. Meanwhile, Harvey pumps feel-good soul straight off the West Coast like he's been doing it for two decades. In addition, lo-fi art-rockers Japanther build catchy hooks, fist-pumping beats, and experimental DIY aesthetics to frenetic extreme. Bilingual avant-pop duo Something in Spanish fuse elements of exotic lounge, experimental electronic, and free jazz. And Ghostly International's Sam Valenti IV, along with Miami's own DHM and Lust4house, brings in plenty of turntable support. It's all for a great cause, too — a portion of the admission price goes to charity: water to help bring clean water to African countries.
