The Spam Allstars still pack them in wherever they go, be it at the weekly Little Havana residency or in parts farther flung, like San Fran and Atlanta. Their sound — Latin-fueled horns, flutes, and chants atop dubby, freestyle 808 rhythms — is recognized by every venue owner in town as sweet food for the starving masses. DJ Le Spam and crew always graciously oblige, bringing their magic to stages across the city, even to those they don't often rock. Tonight, they bless Transit with their presence, and while they have played there before, it's not a common occurrence.
