A lot of Miami musicians claim to traffic in "Latin funk," but Buddha Gonzalez can honestly profess to be Miami's foremost practitioner of the stuff. The reason? With Cuban blood in his veins, Gonzalez rolls heavy with the likes of George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, who've been known to pop up with him at shows and on recordings.
