More Flavor: Fair Art Deco Weekend

For all of the wild, unhinged happenings that unfold in its streets, Miami Beach is actually a carefully preserved shrine to the age of art deco architecture. Every year, the Miami Design Preservation League pulls out all the stops for one weekend to celebrate that luxe era, hosting lectures, films, and a street fair where vendors hawk antique trinkets, collectibles, and vintage, mid-century posters. This year, the goings-on are inspired by Broadway musicials of the '30s and '40s, so expect things to be glossy and gaudy in all the right ways.
