Miami's very own catwoman, La Gata is a tango singer who wields her mystique and bravado like a dagger. She's up there in age, but her songs of heartbreak and yearning would make any young buck break a sweat. She hasn't performed much since the documentary about her storied, decades-long career — La Gata: The Nine Lives of a Tango Singer Called "The Cat" — was released just over a year ago, so her return to the stage is that much more exciting.
