Highly regarded for his scores — most notably for Wes Anderson's films — Mark Mothersbaugh is also an eccentric visual artist. Bear and Bird Gallery puts his considerable talents on display with its show of eerie photographs, videos, and experimental acoustics from the Devo co-founder. Along with limited-edition rugs, Mothersbaugh offers weird images made from found photographs in his demented and lovable Beautiful Mutants suite. Employing old-fashioned photographic tricks along with digital imaging, he unearths human figures in the pieces by mirroring parts of the original pictures. The opening also features an airing of Mothersbaugh's six-disc experimental album, The Most Powerful Healing Musik in the Entire World.
