Art: Architecture/Design Alexander Calder Jewelry

Throughout his prolific career, American sculptor Alexander Calder created a variety of objects — from inventive children's toys and 1927's miniature Cirque Calder to his signature "moving" (or "mobile") sculptures and city monuments. Lesser known, however, is Calder's jewelry collection, which consists of more than 1,800 imaginative, surrealist-prized pieces. The Norton presents a selection of about 100 of Calder's jewelry and jewelry-like objects, including necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pins, and crowns.
