You don't find much Flamenco in Miami, and what is here tends to be on the glossy side, rather than melancholy or fiery and passionate. The Flamenco Festival seeks to fix that, even if only temporarily, by offering up a roster including everything from traditional, brooding Flamenco dance to spirited, contemporary musical innovators who remain firmly rooted in the Gypsy tradition that birthed the form.
