Presented by the ever-fearless Tigertail, Susan Marshall & Company's Cloudless is composed of 18 modern-dance episodes performed by five dancers. The individual pieces, which include solos, duets, and small group choreographies, range from comedic hijinks to heart-wrenching drama, exploring the intricacies of both the mundane and the metaphysical. Music (by Philip Glass, the Shondells, and even a Bizet song performed by David Byrne) merges with deft lighting, experimental video, and unusual set pieces, all of which coalesce in a stunningly fluid contemporary performance.
