Art Wendy Wischer: N-S-E-W

Local artist Wendy Wischer has a gift for re-interpreting nature's uncanny elements, often with the aid of technology. She once projected a large, perfectly rendered moon onto a wall of the Miami Art Museum to let passersby and highway drivers enjoy a close-up view of the glowing lunar mass. For her second solo exhibition at David Castillo, Wischer showcases an installation from her Angels and Ancestors series — including a horizontally mounted tree sculpture that creates the feeling of hovering just above its leaves.
