One of the world's foremost recording and performing orchestras, the Philharmonia of London remains just as graceful and groundbreaking as it was when it was founded in 1945. Unafraid to use new technologies both in engaging its audiences and teaching new musicians, the Philharmonia also serves as the national orchestra of the United Kingdom. But you might hear a hint of local flavor, as the orchestra is conducted by the keenly talented Christoph von Dohnànyi, who received his education not just at the University of Munich, but also around these parts at Florida State University.
